LEAP24, a Dutch rapid electric vehicle (EV) charge point operator, has added four charging sites in London to its network.
The sites are located in Barking, Chingford, Pinner, and Watford, with the business now operating nine ultra-rapid charge stations inside the M25.
All sites feature multiple 150-300kWh chargers, with wide bays, and tap-to-charge functionality, allowing drivers to charge without paying a subscription or downloading an app.
Ferry Bosgra, chief operating officer at LEAP24, said: “Building public charging infrastructure in London isn’t easy – from planning to power upgrades, it’s a complex and often slow-moving process.
“But the LEAP24 team is resilient and forward-looking. We’ve learned how to navigate those hurdles and deliver reliable, high-performance sites in record time.
“That’s what sets us apart.”
Charging costs at the sites are 69p per kWh.
LEAP24 is targeting high demand areas, such as London, to support EV uptake, especially for commercial fleets impacted by policies such as ultra low emissions zones (ULEZ).
Pelle Schlichting, CEO at LEAP24, said: “We founded LEAP24 to remove the friction from clean mobility – and our London expansion shows how fast, simple, and fair EV charging can be.
“We’re not here to take small steps – we take daily leaps toward a future where clean transport is truly accessible to all.”
Since its founding in 2021, LEAP24 has become the leading electricity supplier for HGVs in the Netherlands, and has built one of the country’s largest ultra-rapid charging networks.
