LOCTITE has launched a new range of adhesive products designed to meet the growing needs of the e-mobility repair sector.
The portfolio includes thermal gap fillers, gasketing solutions, threadlockers and retaining compounds, developed to support electric vehicle (EV) battery and e-drive system repairs.
Each product is engineered to improve the lifespan of critical components while contributing to wider sustainability goals.
As the automotive industry moves rapidly towards electrification, repair professionals face new challenges such as managing high-voltage systems and maintaining complex components.
LOCTITE’s latest range is specifically designed to address these demands, offering targeted solutions and technical support for safe, efficient and environmentally responsible repairs.
The company says that repairing EV batteries, rather than replacing them, can cut costs by up to 77% and reduce CO₂ emissions by as much as 91%.
The new adhesives meet stringent EV safety and performance standards, particularly around thermal management, while offering simplified handling and quick-cure or no-cure options to increase workshop productivity. LOCTITE also provides detailed guidance and technical support to help repair professionals implement these solutions effectively.
Sustainability is a core focus of the new portfolio, which is aligned with LOCTITE’s 4R framework: Repair, Reuse, Remanufacture and Recycle.
By promoting circular repair practices, LOCTITE aims to reduce waste and environmental impact across the EV lifecycle while supporting the industry’s transition to cleaner, more efficient transportation.
George Hickey, market and customer activation manager at Henkel, said: “By enabling safe and sustainable repairs, our new e-mobility adhesive solutions will help extend the life of electric vehicles and reduce their environmental footprint.
“This portfolio reflects our ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability in the automotive sector.”
