Mitsubishi L200 Long Bed: extra inches
Seven extra inches on load bay and extra power
Mitsubishi has launched a Long Bed version of its L200 pick-up.
The L200 Long Bed grows an additional seven inches and will run along the standard L200.
It means the new L200 Long Bed has a load bay of 151cms to rival the Nissan Navara.
Top end long bed variants also feature a higher power engine – 176bhp, making it the highest power engine in the pick-up segment.
The L200 Double Cab 4Work and 4Life Long Bed carry over specification from the Standard Bed variant.
The L200 Warrior Long Bed receives a substantial increase in engine output at 176bhp (previously 134bhp).
Standard specification includes: 17 inch alloys; stability and traction control; super select 4WD; cruise control; chrome door mirrors/handles; climate control; leather steering and gear shift; and chrome rear bar.
The L200 Animal Long Bed also shares the more powerful 176bhp engine (previously 166hp). Standard luxury specification includes: Animal leather seats; Bluetooth; DVD satellite navigation; chrome door recess covers; and chrome lamp bezels.
The L200 Long Bed costs £750 (excluding VAT) over the Standard Bed equivalent. Long Bed Warrior derivatives, with an additional 42bhp of power, will attract an additional £250 (excluding VAT).
The Long Bed is initially only available in Double Cab 4Work, 4Life and top-end Warrior and Animal variants.
