Mac’s Truck Rental, a commercial vehicle specialist, is celebrating the 10th anniversary of its self-drive truck and trailer rental service.

Jeff Wright, sales director at Mac’s Truck Rental, said: “Ten years on, we’re proud to reflect both on how far we’ve come and the opportunities ahead.

“Our commitment to quality, flexibility and customer satisfaction remains as strong today as it was from the start, and long before that, in the early 70’s when the founding business was first established.”

In 2015, Mac’s Truck Rental was set up to offer flexible, high-spec vehicle hire solutions to businesses of all sizes – ranging from independent contractors to national logistics operators.

Today, the company has a range of Euro six-compliant rigid trucks, crane-mounted tractor units and trailers available for rental, contract hire and lease.

Configurations include: crane trucks, skip lorries, hook loaders, beavertail trucks, curtain siders, tipper-grabs and more.

Wright said a key differentiator of Mac’s Truck Rental, is its ability to offer vehicles that are not only well-maintained, compliant and ready to go, but also adapted or built to suit client’s specific applications and needs.

He added: “This is made possible through our close collaboration with Mac’s Truck Sales, which gives us access to some of the industry’s best facilities, including designers, fabricators, paint booths, signwriters, shot blast and even a £1 million laser cutter.”

Part of Mac’s Truck Rental’s journey was the 2024 opening of a purpose-built rental centre in Outlane, Huddersfield.

Comprising of a larger yard area, inspection bays and office space – the company said the move boosted fleet capacity and operational efficiency.

Backed by longstanding partnerships with leading manufacturers – including DAF, Scania, Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, MAN, and crane providers such as FASSI, Palfinger, PM & HIAB – the company said it is proud to specialise in truck types which other companies simply do not have the expertise and knowledge to operate.

Wright said: “By combining Mac’s Truck Rental’s comprehensive hassle-free hire service with the extensive capabilities and expertise of the wider group, we’re able to offer our customers a truly tailored unique solution — whether they need a long-term hire or a fully customised build.

“That’s what sets us apart — we’re not just a rental provider; we’re a complete vehicle partner.”
