Mad Devs expands iStoreDOCS platform for fleet managers

Automotive software specialist Mad Devs has expanded its iStoreDOCS platform into the fleet sector, with fleet managers adopting the system to manage drivers through a secure digital portal.

Originally developed to help more than 2,000 dealerships digitise customer documentation and compliance, the platform can now be configured to meet the specific operational requirements of fleet operators,

The expansion is designed to give drivers a single place to complete paperwork, access documents, and manage key interactions.

Mad Devs said that every deployment is tailored to the customer’s own processes and is backed by UK-based support teams.

A key element is the customer portal, which Mad Devs said now handles 82% of customer journeys across its dealer network.

The same technology is now being adapted for fleets to allow drivers to complete documentation remotely, upload information securely and access important vehicle records without relying on paper forms or email chains.

Mad Devs said that it believes its experience in automotive retail gives it a strong foundation for the fleet market, where compliance, audit trails and customer experience are becoming increasingly important.

“They need to manage large volumes of documentation, ensure compliance, create a straightforward experience for drivers and reduce the amount of administration for their teams.

“We’ve spent years refining iStoreDOCS alongside some of the UK’s largest dealer groups, and we’re now seeing those same benefits translate into fleet operations.

“Every business works differently, which is why the platform can be configured around each customer’s own processes rather than forcing them to change how they operate.”

Mad Devs said that the expansion into fleet builds on investment in its Connect platform over the past year, including reporting capabilities, enhanced customer communications and a six-figure investment in cybersecurity that culminated in ISO 27001 certification.

Rea added: “Fleet operators want technology that removes friction rather than creating it.

“Our focus has always been on making complex processes simple for both the business and the end user, backed by a UK support team that understands the automotive sector.”

The company added that interest from fleet businesses continues to grow, with further implementations planned following the successful onboarding of its first driving school customers.
