MARTIN Wilson is the new fleet director at Hyundai.
Martin, currently the fleet sales manager at Hyundai, took up the newly created post this month (January 2013).
Martin will be responsible for all of Hyundai’s fleet operations.
This covers contract hire business leasing, remarketing, company car fleet sales to corporates and government ‘blue light’ sales.
Hyundai said that, by creating the new fleet director role, it demonstrated to both Hyundai’s current and potential fleet customers that the brand was a serious player in the market – both for corporate company car fleet sales and SME business sales.
Martin will report to Guy Pigounakis, who is the Senior Executive Sales Director at Hyundai.
“The company car fleet market is key to maintaining strong sales volumes along with increased market share for the brand and I’m looking forward to the challenges of expanding Hyundai’s presence in this area of the business,” commented Martin on his appointment.
Martin, who started his professional career balancing a life as semi-pro rugby player for Newcastle Falcons while working for Lombard Motor Finance, first moved into the car world with Jaguar in 1998 as Zone Manager for Jaguar Financial Services.
Later Martin was promoted to Jaguar Land Rover Corporate Development Manager and then Corporate Sales Manager.
Martin moved to Hyundai in 2007 as Regional Corporate Sales Manager followed by stints as Regional Franchising Manager, Regional Sales Manager, European Fleet Sales Manager at Hyundai Motor Europe before taking up the national fleet sales manager role.
Among the key cars from Hyundai for SME company car buyers are the Hyundai i20, Hyundai i30 range, Hyundai i40 range, Hyundai ix35 and Hyundai new generation Santa Fe.
Latest business car finance offers include the New Generation Santa Fe Style 2.2 CRDi 5 Seat 2WD for just £313 a month over 48 months and 10,000 miles a year.
