The Mastretta MXT is a two-seat sports car. It is designed and built by Tecnoidia, a vehicle design and consultancy group based in Mexico City.
The Mastretta MXT packs a 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ford Duratec engine that’s turbocharged to deliver 240bhp.
The Mastretta MXT has an aluminium bonded semi-monocoque chassis and composite body. It weighs just 900kg and 240bhp gives 0-60mph in under 5sec. Top speed is 150mph.
The Europe importer, Lifestyle Automotive, is in talks with Cosworth about the possibility of an even more potent range-topper.
The coupes dramatic design will endear it to individualists bored with the Audi TTs and Porsche Boxsters of this world.
Chief executive of Lifestyle Automotive, Tom Martin, said:”We hold to the view that there is a market for a comfortable and decently equipped coupe which handles and performs well, with individualism and flair.”
