MATTHEW Davock has been appointed Director of Commercial Vehicles at Manheim.

Matthew replaces James Davis who has moved to the role of Customer Insight and Strategy Director for Commercial Vehicles.

Previously Head of LCV, Davock has been instrumental in growing the commercial side of Manheim’s business. Manheim said Davock’s appointment will continue to cement its position as the UK’s number one commercial vehicle auction company.

A Manheim man and boy, Davock has been with the Cox Automotive business for over 20 years, joining from school to work with Manheim’s Haydock auction centre, and working his way up to join the National CV team as Head of LCV in 2014.

Davock has helped launch a dedicated CV selling centre in Shepshed, introduced a second lane at Manheim’s Gloucester branch and added a new sale to the Haydock auction programme. He has also been instrumental in supporting the development of Manheim’s online commercial vehicle offering.

Peter Bell, Managing Director of Manheim, said:

“Matthew has shown exceptional skills in his role as Head of LCV, and together he and James have strived to achieve Manheim’s position as the clear market-leader.”
