Mercedes-Benz launches first electric GLA
Range is up to 408 miles, while three powertrain variants are offered, with optional all wheel drive.

Mercedes-Benz has launched the third generation GLA, the first electric version in the model’s history, which is likely to replace the EQA.
Range is up to 408 miles, while three powertrain variants are offered, with optional all wheel drive.
It has an 800V architecture, allowing 168 miles of range to be added in 10 minutes.

The model range starts with the GLA 200 electric, which has a 58kWh battery, while the GLA 250+ and 350 4MATIC have an 85kWh unit, with the latter adding all wheel drive.
In 2027, a 71kWh battery variant will join the range.
As with the CLA, a hybridised petrol model will be available after launch, combining a 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, with an electric motor integrated into the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox.
The latest GLA features Mercedes-Benz’s ‘iconic grille’, an illuminated unit first launched on the GLC electric.
Equipment offered on the GLA includes Surround Navigation, which combines a 3D representation of the car’s surroundings with route guidance information, MB.DRIVE ASSIST, the SKY CONTROL panoramic roof with illuminated stars and electronically adjustable opacity, and Rim Protection Warning, which helps avoid kerbing.
