Mercedes-Benz Vans has revealed the Vision V, a luxury electric MPV concept built on its forthcoming Van Electric Architecture (VAN.EA), ahead of the platform’s 2026 launch. Designed to explore new top-end customer experiences in the van segment, Vision V previews a range of spacious, private-lounge style electric MPVs aimed at family and VIP buyers.
The Vision V introduces a new design philosophy focused on comfort, immersive entertainment, and modularity. The lounge-style rear cabin includes reclining seats, ambient lighting, and a 65-inch retractable cinema screen paired with a 42-speaker Dolby Atmos surround-sound system and seven projectors to deliver a 360-degree immersive experience.
The show car’s innovative layout also includes features such as a switchable glass partition for privacy, a centre console with an integrated touchpad and fold-out chessboard table, and customisable lighting and fragrance options.
Thomas Klein, head of Mercedes-Benz Vans, said: “The Vision V is the beginning of a new era for Mercedes-Benz Vans. It demonstrates, in the truest sense of the word, how we bring luxury to a spacious cabin and define a new segment. With that, we set standards in design, comfort and an immersive user experience – while meeting the highest demands of our customers.”
Gorden Wagener, chief design officer at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, added: “The Mercedes-Benz vans have been iconic for decades. With the Vision V we take that heritage and transform it into a completely new context of highest luxury transportation. This show car embodies the perfect harmony between luxury and van design, setting a new benchmark for the future.”
The exterior of the Vision V features illuminated louvres, an LED-enhanced grille, and a streamlined silhouette that balances dynamism with elegance. Inside, materials include crystal white Nappa leather, silk, and open-pore burr wood, with display cabinets integrated into the side panels.
Mercedes-Benz plans to introduce the VAN.EA platform in 2026, with the Vision V previewing how its scalable modular platform can serve multiple market segments, from practical family vehicles to exclusive limousines and VIP shuttles.
