MFG cuts ultra-rapid EV charging prices by 25% for summer

Motor Fuel Group (MFG) has reduced the price of ultra-rapid electric vehicle charging by 25% across its MFG EV Power network for the summer, lowering the cost from 79p per kWh to 59p per kWh until 30th September.

The offer, which came into effect on 1st July, applies across MFG EV Power’s nationwide network of more than 2,000 charging bays at almost 600 locations.

The forecourt operator said the reduction could save drivers up to £6 on a typical charging session and positions the business among the UK’s lowest-priced providers of ultra-rapid charging.

MFG said its network includes chargers capable of delivering 150kW, 300kW and up to 400kW, allowing drivers to add up to 100 miles of range in around 10 minutes.

The company has also expanded charging facilities at almost 300 Morrisons supermarkets, with many locations situated alongside retail and food outlets including Greggs, Pret A Manger, Burger King, Subway and Costa.

The company said it is investing more than £400m in its EV charging infrastructure and plans to deploy more than 3,000 ultra-rapid chargers across its estate as it continues to expand its network in support of the UK’s transition to electric vehicles.
