The five-door pushes the MINI brand straight into the white-hot competitive space of the family car market which form the bulk of the corporate car park inhabitants.

Quite whether these more sober buyers will be happy to trade the unique style of the MINI brand for the more greater space practicality of many of its competitors is something only sales will reveal.

Let’s face it, many of us gave the Countryman a very cool reception and that has proved a global runaway success, so what do we know?
