Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV and L200 Series 7 to land in UK market

The Mitsubishi Outlander Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) and the latest-generation Mitsubishi L200 Series 7 double-cab pickup truck will be made available in the UK from summer 2026, initially available in limited numbers from launch.

The Outlander PHEV and the L200 are designed to appeal to Mitsubishi’s customer base and new customers wanting family SUVs and pick-ups.

The latest Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV is 2.5cm longer, 6.2cm wider, and 3.8cm taller than its predecessor.

The Outlander PHEV is powered by a 2.4-litre petrol engine with a traction battery powering front and rear electric motors.

The EV-based 4WD powertrain delivers a combined power output of over 300hp, with a driving range of over 500 miles.

The twin-motor 4WD powertrain pairs with Mitsubishi Motors’ rally-bred Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC) system, which manages driving and braking forces at all four wheels to deliver better handling and stability.

The Outlander PHEV offers different driving modes and terrain selection settings and will be available with a seven-seat configuration.

Mitsubishi’s L200 pick-up first arrived in the UK in the mid-1980s in single-cab, Series 2 guise, with the following Series 3 being available as a double-cab model.
