MoDel, the B2B vehicle handover solution from Ebbon Automotive, part of Ebbon Group, has achieved a record-breaking performance for the second successive year, processing 1.24 million vehicle handovers in 2024—a 17% year-on-year increase.
Widely used across the fleet industry to electronically manage vehicle deliveries and collections, MoDel saw strong growth in the UK across leasing companies, brokers, vehicle manufacturers, and particularly vehicle logistics firms, the fastest-growing sector on the platform. The number of logistics companies using MoDel grew by 38 last year, bringing the total to over 90.
The platform also continued its European expansion, particularly in France and the Netherlands, driven by existing relationships with major leasing companies and vehicle manufacturers. In response, Ebbon Group developers have modified the system to accommodate European business practices, further positioning the platform for growth in continental markets.
Michael Terry (pictured), head of commercial, logistics at Ebbon Automotive, said, “MoDel is predominantly fleet focused and the record levels of fleet sales in 2024, with 60% of new car registrations going to fleets, certainly contributed to this outstanding performance.”
He also noted that new functionality and regular system updates, often developed in response to user feedback, played a role in driving MoDel’s continued success.
“There are a number of new and exciting releases already in the pipeline for 2025 that will continue our commitment to MoDel’s development.
“For example, we are planning changes to our ‘form console’ feature which will look at enhancing the level of data collected at the vehicle handover and making it more bespoke. This will provide customers with more detailed information to match their exact requirements.
“We are also looking at a multi-car transport module to assist vehicle manufacturers in capturing deliveries to their dealer networks.”
With continued investment in platform enhancements and further expansion into Europe, MoDel is set to build on its record-breaking success in 2025.
