THE new, second generation BMW X4 goes on sales on 15 February, 2018.
Prices for the coupe-styled SUV start at £42,900 OTR.
The range starts with the X4 20d, steps up to the 30d before the two range topping new M performance models, the M40i and M40d.
The M40i offers 0-62mph in 4.8s; the M40d offers an astonishing 680Nm torque (cue that neck brace!).
The all-new BMW X4 is 81mm longer than the X4 it succeeds. There is 54mm added to the wheelbase and an extra 37mm width. It is also lower by 3mm.
All of these elements, along with the muscular styling, promise the performance potential of the vehicle.
Choose M Sport or M Sport X model variants
Tailor the BMW X4 to suit your personal tastes. Each comes with standalone design features as well as model-specific 19-inch light-alloy wheels.
The M Sport model focuses on a dynamic look; the newly designed M Sport X model goes for the off-road-focused sports appearance.
If you don’t fancy either of these, standard X4 specification is ‘Sport’.
Small business owners might want to think about which X4 is appropriate for them. The X4 20d will have a company car tax band of 33% if you are thinking about putting it through the company.
The M Sport variants would be much better to finance personally rather than incur the BIK charge.
