PEUGEOT has given its seven-seat 5008 a fresh new look that brings it into line with more recently introduced models such as the 208 and 308. The main elements are a “floating” front grille and “signature” LED lamps.
Equipment levels are improved, although there’s a small increase in price as well, ranging from £200 on entry-level Access models to to £350 for cars with the plushest Allure trim.
The engine line-up has a familiar look. There are 1.6 and 2.0 litre diesels, as well as 1.6 petrols offering either 120 or 156 bhp. The eco-orientated £21,345 e-HDI diesel is good for a combined 65.7 mpg and CO2 emissions of 113g/km. The cheapest petrol model is the £18,800 Access 1.6-litre VTi, while the diesels start at £20,495.
