New MAN Truck & Bus facility to expand service capacity in northeast Scotland

MAN Truck & Bus has announced plans for a brand-new wholly owned dealership in Aberdeen, representing a multimillion-pound investment and a significant expansion of its presence in northeast Scotland.

Phased operations will begin in December 2025, with full construction scheduled for completion by late 2026.

Jan Kohlmeier, managing director of MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd, said the development would deliver far more than a workshop, describing it as a step-change in customer support across the region.

He said the dedicated facility would improve service capability, expand capacity and strengthen the company’s long-term commitment to maintaining customer vehicles to the highest standards.

The new site, located on a brownfield plot of more than 3 acres, will include five dedicated truck service and repair lanes, three van service ramps and, once fully operational, a specialist Pet. Reg. bay.

The building will feature a bright service reception, customer meeting areas, a separate parts space, dedicated sales offices for new and TopUsed MAN vehicles, and hot desks for field-based staff.

Kohlmeier said the site’s position on the Altens Industrial Estate near the A90 would allow the dealership to respond quickly to local and passing customers.

Kohlmeier added that the Aberdeen development forms part of wider investment across the wholly owned MAN dealer network.

He said the new facility would support customers across the region by offering the full MAN range, from TGE vans at 3.5 tonnes through to TGX heavy-haulage tractors at 250 tonnes.

The dealership will also include a dedicated bay for electric vehicle servicing and repair, along with tools for EV maintenance, diagnostics and repair, in preparation for the transition toward eMobility.

MAN Truck & Bus operates across the UK through a network of 68 wholly owned and franchised partner dealers, providing support to truck, van, bus and coach operators. The new Aberdeen dealership will be located at Unit 14B, Peterseat Park, Aberdeen, AB12 3HT.
