New Vauxhall Combo Crew Van offers flexibility for load and workers

VAUXHALL has launched a five-seater Crew Van version of its Combo.

And despite having room for four passengers, the Vauxhall Combo Crew Van is classified as a commercial vehicle so tradesmen and SMEs can claim back the VAT.

The asymmetrically split rear seats can be folded individually, singly or as a pair, for versatile use of the loadspace. The seats are released and folded using two easily operated handles. The load area has four floor rings to secure cargo and a fixed, full-height-and-width ladder-frame bulkhead is available as a free option to allow the load area to be stacked to the roof. The new Combo Crew van comes with a 1.3-litre 90hp diesel, which is available with or without ecoFLEX technology including Stop/Start. A 1.6-litre 105hp engine is also offered with Start/Stop.

•  2300 1.3CDTi 16v (90PS) ecoFLEX Start/Stop  £16.648.33
• 2300 1.6CDTi 16v (105PS) Start/Stop  £17,448.33.

A Combo Glazed Crew Van will also be available with glazed second-row doors and a tailgate with window instead of the unglazed rear doors. VAT will not be recoverable on this version. The Combo van was introduced last year, and offers the highest payload (up to 1000kg with driver), large load volume (up to 4.2cu m), highest rear axle capacity (1450kg) and the longest wheelbase in its business van sector. It’s available with five different engines, with fuel economy of up to 58.9mpg and CO₂ emissions as low as 126g/km. Combo’s service interval was increased in March and is now two years or 21,000 miles (18,000 miles for petrol variants) or oil life quality monitor warning, whichever comes sooner.
