All new Vauxhall Vivaro: bigger, car-like to drive, and capable of 47mpg

THE new Vauxhall Vivaro will go on sale in summer promising the functionality of a light commercial vehicle with the comfort and design flair of a passenger car. As well as dramatically fresh styling, the new Vivaro comes with state-of-the-art technologies and a host of practical, innovative features, both under the bonnet  and in the cabin. The striking exterior changes include a large, prominent grille, headlamps in high-gloss black mouldings with embedded chrome accents, plus daytime running lights with the Vauxhall wing graphic design and crisp LED technology. The ‘flowing blade’ side feature, which is a strong characteristic of Vauxhall’s ‘family’ styling found in the brand’s passenger car line-up, is also a prominent design element. Depending on how the van will be used – either as a working van or a  large-capacity Combi – buyers can choose between two body design trim levels – Vivaro and Sportive. The new model will be available in 11 standard colours, with five solid and six two-coat metallic finishes. Further specific colours will be available for special-use vehicles allowing customers to order the van in the ‘ideal outfit’ for each business and commercial need.  

Two lengths, two roof heights and more room than before

The new Vauxhall Vivaro is available as a panel van, a Combi,  and as a double-cab with various configurations in two overall lengths and two heights. According to Vauxhall, the new Vivaro is even more suitable for business needs than its predecessor, as both lengths -– 4998 and 5398mm – are 216mm longer than before, whether for cargo or occupants.
