The RAV4 Plug-in retains all the qualities that have made the fifth generation RAV4 so successful since its launch in late 2018. This includes the dynamic benefits of the low centre of gravity and high body rigidity inherent in the Toyota GA-K vehicle platform. It also comes as standard with AWD-i intelligent all-wheel drive. The Plug-in is a complementary model to the RAV4 Hybrid, consolidating Toyota’s electrification programme.

Fleets should redouble efforts on drug-driving

There is a perception among some fleets that prescribed medication was more of a problem than illegal drugs when it came driving, but that these latest reports suggested this is not necessarily the case. There is an assumption by some employers that use of illegal drugs among drivers is very limited but there are increasing signs this maybe untrue. It appears that legal drugs prescribed for medical use and those taken for recreational purposes are both potential issues.

Leading environmental experts, including Oxford University and the Arup Group, have forecast that new green industries could contribute $10.3 trillion to the world economy by 2050. However, the government and now the government-in-waiting have both rowed back on commitments to invest in the industries that will drive this change.
