CORPORATE provider Nexus Vehicle Rental has boosted both its customer-facing and online proposition with new appointments and technical innovations designed to enhance efficiency.

A new Management Information (MI) suite enabling customers to more effectively manage their daily rental spend, track trends, review costs and deliver savings has been added to its award-winning online rental booking system.

Nexus enhancements

  • New Management Information software suite improving service for customers
  • New app for bookings
  • Expanded account management team

The new MI suite enables customers to self-serve their bookings as well as providing an overview of spend, giving in-depth analysis into rental behaviour in a highly visual format.

The system, which Nexus says is the most transparent and user-friendly in the industry, lets customers control costs in real-time rather than retrospectively. It is easily-accessible and it provides the ability to spot trends so customers can quickly focus on potential problem areas, such as refuelling or fines.

The suite also adds value by providing live data on Nexus’ own performance in terms of customer service versus rentals and reports on factors including damage expense management with statistics such as the number of cases closed, the number upheld and total rental analysis. Bespoke reports for clients can also be generated.

Nexus has also broadened its booking platform to cater for mobile and desktop users with a new mobile app, allowing customers to quickly book car rental from their mobile phone.

In line with these technological developments, Nexus has also expanded its account management team to further underline its commitment to delivering industry-leading standards of account management and customer service.

Holly Ballantine and Amy Hanson join as national account managers. Holly joins from Enterprise Rent-A-Car where she spent five years after joining as a graduate.  Her most recent role was as branch manager at Edinburgh airport.

Amy joins from Anglo Recycling Ltd where she was business development manager, and prior to that she spent several years working for contract hire company MNH Platinum in numerous customer-focused roles.

Danny Woolley joins as account manager from Alphabet where he held the role of corporate account executive.

Dean Rose, head of account management at Nexus, said: “The new MI suite has been designed to show customers exactly how Nexus has added value to their service, the savings they are making and where further savings can be made.

“We want to cement our software as the best rental system on the market and the new MI Suite contributes to this goal by enabling customers to self-serve.

“In tandem with this, we are investing in people who bring a wealth of industry and automotive experience to the business as this will enable us to continue to drive customer value and deliver industry-leading account management standards.”

Nexus’ latest announcements continue to show its dedication to improving the customer experience after winning a Best Business Award for Customer Service and being granted ISO 27001 certification for Excellence in Security Management.
