Ohme has partnered with Ford dealers in Northern Ireland to offer free chargers to all qualifying electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) customers, including some fleets.
Selected Ford Pro fleet customers will receive a free Ohme EV charger, including installation, until 31st March.
The offer is available on the E-Tourneo Custom, E-Transit, Transit Connect PHEV, Ranger PHEV and Transit Custom PHEV (excluding Kombi models).
Through the Ford Pro Power Promise, customers will also receive an eight-year, 100,000-mile battery warranty and two years of free towing and roadside assistance.
Lisa Brankin, managing director at Ford of Britain and Ireland, said: “Switching into an EV for the first time can be a daunting prospect for some drivers, so Ford have decided to simplify and de-stress the entire ownership experience by launching a one-of-a-kind promise to new EV buyers.
“This commitment from Ford, and partnership with Ohme, aims to support our Power Promise and entice new buyers into the exciting world of EVs and stimulate additional demand for our freshest-ever line-up of electric passenger cars and commercial vehicles.”
A recent survey conducted by Ford found that 25% of European customers felt more uncertainty and complexity when buying an EV.
One in eight said they find it too difficult to arrange charging at home.
David Watson, CEO at Ohme said: “With Ford’s long-standing strong relationship across all of Ireland, this is a collaboration that’s close to home both personally and professionally.
“With the new Puma Gen-E as well as the Capri, Mustang Mach E and Explorer, plus its electrified commercial vehicle range, Ford has one of the strongest EV line-ups on the market which can now be charged with the best EV home charger on the market.”
