Its 60kWh battery provides 268 miles of range and is capable of charging from 30% to 80% in 24 minutes.

A 204PS motor allows the car to go 0-62 mph in 7.3 seconds.

It also has heated front seats, 14.6” central touch screen and 360° surround-view camera.

“With its styling led by GAC’s Milan design studio specifically for the European market, the UT’s playful character and exceptional specification – combined with our AION Great 8 Promise – is really going to appeal to anyone looking for more from a compact car.”

As well as modifications to the springs, dampers, bump-stops and calibration, the UT also gets a revised anti-roll bar and has been designed for UK roads.
