Orders open for Hyundai IONIQ 6 N, prices start at £65,800

Orders have opened for the Hyundai IONIQ 6 N high performance electric vehicle (EV), with prices starting from £65,800.

UK models will be offered in a single specification, with the only option being a sunroof, priced at £1,250.

The IONIQ 6 N produces 650PS when launch control is active and can accelerate to 62mph in 3.2 seconds, with a top speed of 160mph.

It has two electric motors, one on each axle, with the rear motor integrating an electronic limited-slip differential (e-LSD).

Hyundai said it has a unique personality compared to the mechanically similar IONIQ 5 N.

Changes include shorter gear ratios on the simulated gearbox.

All models have five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, a rear wing, a wider body, bucket seats and Electronically Controlled Suspension (ECS) dampers.

Six colours are available: Performance Blue pearl, Abyss Black pearl, Gravity Golf matte, Nocturne Grey metallic, Nocturne Grey matte and Serenity White pearl.
