Paul Kirby to talk about developments in the e-van sector at VRA members meeting

The latest trends in used vehicle grading will be discussed at the next member meeting of the Vehicle Remarketing Association (VRA).

Paul Kirby of EV Essentials will talk about the latest developments in the electric van sector.

Taking place at Cox Automotive, Bruntingthorpe, Leicestershire, on Thursday 26th March, the meeting is being hosted in partnership with the Car Remarketing Association of Europe (CARA).

Other speakers include Gavin Shone, head of operations at Openlane, on the future of grading, and Connor O’Boyle, co-founder of TradeBid, on the vehicle grading experience in the US.

Stuart Coppard, head of inspections excellence at Manheim and Stuart Pearson, chief operating officer of BCA, will be added to the panel discussion.

There will also be presentations on the new and used vehicle markets, with Jon Taylor, national business development manager, and Abi McCabe, national client strategy manager at Autorola UK, providing an update on cars, and Emily Morgan, commercial vehicle forecast manager at Cap hpi, doing the same for vans.

Philip Nothard, chair at the VRA, said: “We signed a new agreement committing to closer collaboration with CARA last year and we’re pleased to be able to announce this meeting, which is one of the first visible signs of that partnership.

“Clearly, used vehicle grading is central to the whole subject of remarketing and there are many developments afoot, from new technology to evolving ideas about what assessments should include.
