Petrol price reaches Iran war high, diesel falls – RAC
The price of petrol is now averaging 159.43p per litre, up 26.6p since the start of the war.
The RAC has reported that the price of petrol has reached a new high since the start of the Iran war, while the price of diesel has continued to fall.

It increased by 0.2p per litre over the long weekend.
Diesel prices now average 184.96p per litre, up from 142.38p before the war, but down from 185.34p on Friday.
The RAC said that the cost to fill an average family-sized petrol car with a 55-litre fuel tank is now £87.69, £14.63 more than before the war.
Filling a comparable diesel car now costs £101.73, up £23.42.
Last week, Chancellor Rachel Reeves announced that the fuel duty freeze would not end in September, and would be extended through the end of 2026.
