It’s undoubtedly a clever update – and on the road it feels quicker than the modest performance figures would suggest

What’s hot

  • Clever update has made the 3008 appear fresh and modern all over again.
  • Refined ride that’s almost bordering on sporty.
  • High levels of standard equipment.

Neat little heads-up display shows stuff like sat nav instructions
  • Interior feels surprisingly premium with a classy dashboard layout.
  • Head-up display includes sat nav instructions.
  • Spacious cabin and decent sized boot.
  • Handy split tailgate makes loading incredibly easy.
  • Countless places to store things dotted around the cabin.
  • Quality of build better than expected.

What’s not

  • Rear visibility is poor thanks to the thick C-pillars.
  • Official economy of 57.6mpg is some way off the best in class.
  • Fiddly stereo controls could be distracting so just leave it on Radio 2.
  • Automatic option only available on thirstier 150PS engine.
  • Performance levels won’t set any pulses racing.
  • Cost of ownership not as competitive as some rivals.
