FRENCH car manufacturer Peugeot is one of the most recognisable brands on the planet and famed for their reliability. And now making a fresh push in the business car market.

Despite this recognisability and ability to develop reliable automobiles, it is also a brand has never been a big player in the business car market.

Instead, they are more typically driven by young motorists – often as a first vehicle. This is probably due to the fact that they are safe, reliable and affordable.

Rebuilding their identity

Despite this, Peugeot have been on a mission in recent years to rebuild the brand image. Many of their newer automobiles to hit the roads have been injected with quality and vibrancy, resulting in many professionals now turning their attention to the company and using these vehicles for business purpose.

Not only must they look sleek and professional, but a business car must also be efficient, comfortable and a joy to drive.

Executive cars

In addition to their world-famous small hatchbacks, Peugeot have also developed a range of impressive executive cars, crossover vehicles that are award winning, and also vans.

The 308 (the second generation won European Car of the Year in 2014) and 508 are excellent executive cars that are perfect for business use due to their sleek design, low emissions and fuel economy. The 308 GT Line offers up to 91.1 mpg, whilst the 508 can reach up to 74.3 mpg.

Compact business vehicles

Peugeot has also considered those that work in the city and need something that is more compact and fuel efficient. As the master of the hatchback, this is an area that they have excelled in and particularly with the award-winning 208. This attractive hatchback (available in 3 and 5-door) boasts 94.2 mpg and CO2 emissions from 79g/km.

Electric & Hybrid

The French manufacturer has also shown that they are forward-thinking with a range of hybrid and electric vehicles. This includes the compact iOn with a range of 93 miles, as well as the 508 RXH – a hybrid-electric crossover estate that could be used for family or business purposes.

It is not too difficult to find one of Peugeot’s newer models which are well suited for business use, as the majority of reputable dealerships – like Robins & Day – will carry both new and old.

No longer is the French manufacturer solely associated with reliable hatchbacks which are great for young motorists, as they have worked hard and injected quality, vibrancy and forward-thinking into their range.

For those seeking a new business vehicle, do not overlook Peugeot and keep a look out for their sleeker range of cars.
