Polestar Charge now covers 68,000 public electric vehicle (EV) charge points in the UK, and more than one million across Europe.

The network covers chargers from operators such as Fastned, IONITY, and MFG, as well as smaller local providers and Tesla Super Chargers.

This allows Polestar drivers to access 68,000 UK chargers with only one app.

6,500 UK charge points are also part of the Polestar’s subscription service, which offers subscribers 30% off charging at Applegreen, Fastned, MFG, IONITY, InstaVolt, and Sainsbury’s.

Plug & Charge capability, already offered on the Polestar 3, will be offered on the Polestar 2 for 2026, allowing the car to store payment details, allowing drivers to just plug the car in, with charging beginning automatically.

Matt Galvin, managing director at Polestar UK, said: “We continue to expand our public charging network public charging coverage in the UK and across Europe day by day with popular public charging providers.

“As charging is made seamless via Plug & Charge capability and more cost-efficient with our 30% savings for subscribers, we’re making it even more attractive to own and drive a Polestar.”

The app also integrates with Google Maps, allowing Polestar drivers to plan optimal charge stops along a route.
