Roadchef adds six EV chargers to M74 Hamilton Services

Roadchef has expanded its electric vehicle (EV) charger offering at Hamilton Services on the M74, with the addition of six chargers.

The new chargers are ultra-rapid, with speeds of up to 360kW.

Hamilton Services, which is located between junction six and five on the M74, now has nine EV charge points, with the remainder offering lower charging speeds.

Walt Antrim, head of EV implementation at Roadchef, said: “Hamilton plays an important role in connecting drivers travelling across Scotland and beyond.

“By expanding our ultra-rapid charging network here, we’re making it easier for EV drivers to recharge quickly and continue their journeys with confidence.

“Investing in reliable charging infrastructure at key locations like Hamilton is an important part of supporting the UK’s transition to EVs.”
