SHELL has announced a new fuel card acceptance partnership with Morrisons Supermarket.

Shell Multi-Network Fuel Cards will now be accepted at Morrisons filling stations across the UK.

The announcement signals Shell’s first move into the UK supermarket space, demonstrating the provider’s scope to extend their offering to existing and new fleet customers.

The partnership means that fleets can now use Shell Multi-Network Fuel Cards at over 3,800* filling stations nationwide. This marks a 10% overall network growth, highlighting Shell’s commitment to improving the ever-important network accessibility for their customers.

The partnership follows a series of recent investments into the Shell Card offering, including the Shell Go+ rewards programme, the Jamie Oliver Deli by Shell range and the new Carbon Offsetting Service.

Sarah Llewelyn, Head of Fleet Solutions UK at Shell said: “For our fuel card customers, having access to a network that is conveniently accessible is pivotal to the performance and efficiency of their fleet.

“Not only does it mean diversions to find a refuelling station should be reduced, but also that drivers can take well-earned rest stops at practical places to recharge for the journey ahead.”

“This partnership reinforces our commitment to improving network acceptance for customers of all fleet types and is a reflection of the continued advancements we are making to our fuel card solution.”

Morrisons has 335 sites across the country and the total of filling stations that fleets can now use Shell multi-network fuel cards in in the UK is 3,821.
