SIXT van & truck has announced a partnership with Geotab to integrate its telematics solutions into 6,500 vans and lorries across the UK. The rollout, set to take place over the next 12 months, will use OEM-integrated data to improve fleet efficiency, contract compliance, and vehicle security.
The decision follows a successful pilot, during which SIXT van & truck recovered two stolen vehicles using Geotab’s technology. The telematics system will support predictive maintenance and Service, Maintenance, and Repair (SMR) operations, helping to reduce vehicle downtime and improve performance.

Geotab’s OEM data integration will help SIXT van & truck track mileage and vehicle conditions in real time, ensuring contract compliance with OEMs and streamlining vehicle return processes.

The partnership is expected to help SIXT van & truck optimise vehicle availability, reduce operational costs, and extend fleet lifespans. As part of the collaboration, the company will explore further applications of Geotab’s telematics for its rental services.
