Skoda Elroq electric compact SUV to start from £31.5k

New SUV below Enyaq offered in four versions.

Skoda has announced prices for its new Elroq electric compact SUV, which opens for ordering on 18th October.

Sitting below the existing Enyaq in the Skoda range, the Elroq will start from £31,500 and be offered in four trim levels; SE, SE L, Edition and SportLine. All offer rapid charging capability of up to 145kW when connected to a suitable DC rapid charger.

The entry-level SE model is fitted with a 55kWh (52kWh net) battery, which will give it a WLTP-certified maximum range of more than 230 miles. Standard equipment includes 19-inch alloy wheels, LED head and rear lights, artificial leather upholstery, a 13-inch touchscreen display, digital cockpit and single-zone climate control.Safety aids include a rear-view camera with rear parking sensors, traffic sign recognition and blind spot detection.

Elroq SE L models cost from £33,350 and have a larger 63kWh battery, boosting the range over  250 miles. Additional equipment includes a two-spoke leather heated multifunction steering wheel with paddles for energy recuperation, heated front seats, satellite navigation and Škoda’s Connect service with online infotainment Online and remote access for three years. Dual zone climate control, drive mode selection and front parking sensors are also included.

At prices from £34,450 the Elroq Edition model has a choice of 60 or 85kWh battery, the latter taking range up to 360 miles (WLTP) and able to be charged on a 175kW DC unit. Bespoke 19-inch anthracite alloy wheels, dark chrome roof rails and window surround and privacy glass feature on the equipment list, as does predictive adaptive cruise control with traffic jam assist, keyless entry, and wireless phone charging with a cooling function.

The range flagship, the Elroq SportLine, costs from £37,400 and also offers the two battery options. It adds 20-inch black alloy wheels, matrix LED headlights, unique bumpers and gloss black roof rails, door mirrors and tailgate lettering, bespoke suede and artificial leather upholstery, carbon effect decorative inserts, front sports seats and a black headlining.

Progressive dynamic steering is fitted to the Elroq Sportline with sports suspension on the 85 battery version, while it also gains an electrically operated tailgate with kick activation and rear side airbags.
