Skoda launches fuel-saving GreenLine Rapid and Rapid Spaceback

SKODA has revealed details of new fuel-saving versions of the Skoda Rapid – the practical Skoda Rapid GreenLine hatch, and its sportier stablemate, the Skoda Rapid GreenLine Spaceback.

Both models get a 90PS 1.6-litre diesel giving CO2 emissions of 99g/km and 74mpg

Both models are powered by a 90PS 1.6-litre diesel with CO2 emissions of 99g/km and combined fuel consumption of 74 mpg.

Skoda is hoping the cars will be popular with business users thanks to their 14 per cent company car tax band and low road tax (Band A).

Equipment includes 15-inch alloys with low rolling resistance tyres, front fog lights, a height-adjustable driver’s seat, air-conditioning and a Maxi-DOT trip computer.

Prices, though, at £17,535 for the Rapid GreenLine and £17,195 for the Rapid Spaceback GreenLine, are rather steep.
