What’s not?
- Superb quality is top notch, but the Skoda’s interior doesn’t feel as plush as sister car, the Volkswagen Passat, or as chic as say the premium offering from the Volkswagen Group – the Audi A4.
- Tighter body control would further improve the Superb’s tidy handling.
- Skoda is offering a Business Edition version of this Superb Estate, with the specification perfectly suited to SME buyers and this could be a better option.
Verdict for the Skoda Superb 2.0 TDI 150 SE Estate
Previously, the choice of good large estates was limited to the Ford Mondeo and Volkswagen Passat – but not anymore! If you’re willing to trade the keen drive of the Mondeo and the sharper interior of the Passat, we think the Skoda Superb could be the one to buy.
The biggest Skoda estate not only looks great, but has an impressively spacious interior and offers impressive refinement, which is sure to find favour with business buyers wearing a groove in the UK motorways’ tarmac.
Choosing the 148bhp version of the 2.0-litre TDI diesel makes a fine Superb business case too, with the low 109g/km emissions and 19% company car tax band.
Buyers should also consider the business focused SE Business trim, that we’re driving soon, or if you only cover a lower mileage, then consider the 1.4TSI petrol also in SE trim also driven.
