Sortimo has won the top prize at the Business Vans awards for its SR5 van racking system. Designed to improve organisation and efficiency for van users, the SR5 offers a lightweight, modular solution tailored to the needs of small and medium-sized enterprises.
A key strength of the SR5 system lies in its optimised load space. Adjustable shelving and integrated storage elements such as SR-BOXXes and SR-Drawers allow users to transport tools and materials in a structured and secure way. The system is also fully compatible with accessories from other manufacturers, including Bosch and Hilti, enhancing its flexibility for a wide range of trades.
The SR5 is engineered with both productivity and safety in mind. Constructed from a hybrid of aluminium and steel, it is up to 25% lighter than traditional racking systems, helping to improve fuel efficiency and reduce wear on vehicles. It has also been crash tested with load to ensure occupant protection and adherence to safety regulations.
For fleet operators, Sortimo provides added value through its bespoke conversion services and national support network. Options include overnight installation to minimise downtime, as well as the addition of roof storage, on-board power, and security features. An average resolution time of two days for issues and a flexible repair process further support operational continuity for van fleets.
Jessica Bird, group editorial director at Astor Media, publisher of Business Vans, said:
“Sortimo impressed the judges with a conversion programme that balances flexibility, safety and speed of installation — all essential for SME fleet operators.”
Mark Gibson, marketing manager at Business Vans, added:
“Sortimo’s SR5 system delivers exceptional van conversions with smart, space-efficient design, safety-tested reliability, and rapid turnaround—empowering businesses to stay organised, mobile, and productive with minimal downtime.”
