SsangYong Korando pick-up adds hard-tops and better towing to car-like comforts

SSANGYONG’S Korando Sports pick-up has been upgraded with increased towing capacity and new hard tops, and the Korando Commercial crossover has been given a new look and interior.

The SsangYong Korando Sports pick-up, launched just over a year ago, differs from most commercial pick-ups not just in styling, but also with multi-link rear suspension providing a car-like ride. The SsangYong double-cab interior is also refined and well equipped.

There are two models on offer. The SX is equipped with tinted glass, air conditioning, leather-covered steering wheel, remote central locking, Kenwood MP3 CD & RDS radio with a USB & auxiliary port and Bluetooth connectivity and 16in alloy wheels. The latest model has also been given speed-sensitive power-assisted steering.

The EX model is equipped with new 18in alloy wheels, and includes a luxury touch with leather upholstery and heated front seats, powered driver’s seat. Heated, electrically adjustable and power folding door mirrors and rear parking sensors are also standard. Six-speed automatic transmission with cruise control is available as an option.

Towing capacity has been uprated from 2300kg to 2700kg.

The three new hard tops add features that include a sliding front window for ventilation and access to the pick-up’s rear window, plus a heated rear window and hinged side windows.
