New Jaguar F-Type V8 S
Sell the house, sell the business, you must want one of these! Jaguar’s all-new Jaguar F-Type convertible sports car, revealed at Paris

Raise your jaw back off the desk…this is the all-new Jagaur F-Type sports car, spiritual successor to the 60s icon, the E-Type.

And it’s yet another Jaguar, following on from the XF saloon, that must go on the ‘want list’ of any small business owner, offering open top thrills and Jaguar’s stunning design

How much you might ask? £58,500 is the starting price,  the F-Type S will go for £67,500 and the F-Type V8 S for £79,950. Ransack your savings, sell the business – whatever, the new Jaguar F-Type is sure to be a brilliant success.

You have three choices of engine, all supercharged petrol units, that correspond to the three trims available.

The Jaguar F-Type has a new 3.0 V6 engine – a development of Jaguar’s V8 – and powers the two-seater to 60mph in 5.1 seconds. Power output is 340PS, and CO2 emissions 209g/km.

The F-Type S uses the same V6 engine but with power upped to 380PS, enabling the convertible sports car to hit 60mph in 4.8 seconds. CO2 emissions are 213g/km.

Top of the Jaguar F-Type tree is the 495PS V8 S, which hits 60mph in 4.3 seconds, with CO2 emissions of 259g/km.

Among the features are an eight-speed Quickshift transmission, active exhaust system which is standard on S and V8 S that provides a suitable soundtrack as you accelerate,a nd what Jaguar calls an  the ‘one plus one’ layout of the asymmetric cabin.

The two-seater, convertible sports car represents a return to the company’s heartland, focusing on performance, agility and driver involvement, reflected Adrian Hallmark, global brand director at Jaguar.

Adrian added: “Jaguar is a founder member of the sports car segment with a rich sporting bloodline stretching over 75 years, and in the F-TYPE we’ve reignited that flame. The F-TYPE isn’t designed to be like anyone else’s sports car. It’s a Jaguar sports car – ultra-precise, powerful, sensual and, most of all, it feels alive.”

As yet, we have no indication of business car lease rates yet, but as we get closer to the mid-2013 delievery date we expect these to firm up.
