Toyota expands access to EVs and hybrids for Uber drivers

Toyota Motor Europe has partnered with Uber to expand access to hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs) for Uber drivers across Europe.

It provides an integrated mobility proposition with preferential terms for Uber drivers, across new and used vehicles, finance, leasing and insurance.

The wider Europe programme follows a UK-specific initiative, which has supplied more than 3,500 Toyota and Lexus cars since its relaunch in 2024. Of these, 3,000 were EVs.

The partnership brings together new vehicle offers directly from Toyota, flexible finance and leasing solutions from Toyota Financial Services, connected insurance offerings from Toyota Insurance Services, and approved used Toyota and Lexus vehicles from KINTO Europe.

Leonardo Carluccio, vice president of sales at Toyota Motor Europe, said: “Professional drivers need electrified vehicles that work for them economically as well as operationally.

“Through this partnership with Uber, we are improving access to vehicles, financing and mobility services that drivers can use immediately, while supporting the gradual shift towards lower‑emission fleets across European cities.

“This reflects Toyota’s belief that the transition to lower-emission mobility should be inclusive and accessible to all.”

Raoul Philips Sr, director of central operations at Uber, said: “Partnering with Toyota allows us to offer an integrated solution that addresses vehicle ownership, financing, and maintenance.
