TUAL has expanded its mobile charging solution into the light commercial vehicle sector, targeting van operators and fleet depots struggling with limited grid access. Its PowerUp Charger delivers high-speed 200kW DC charging using only a standard 11kW supply, making it a practical and deployable solution for sites that cannot justify or secure a full grid upgrade.
Fleet operators typically face grid upgrade costs ranging from £150,000 to £3m, with installation timelines stretching from one to three years. TUAL’s PowerUp Charger sidesteps those delays and costs by storing energy off-peak and enabling fast charging at the point of use. It can be fully installed in under an hour.

The unit is fully mobile, works independently of fixed infrastructure, and can integrate with on-site renewables or be used to buffer off-peak energy. For van operators, it means a faster turnaround of vehicles, reduced operational downtime, and flexibility across sites—whether owned or leased.
The launch follows a successful trial with Wincanton, where TUAL’s PowerUp system quadrupled charging output at a site supporting 19 fully electric vans.
TUAL is now working with early adopters in the UK and Europe to deploy PowerUp across van fleets, delivery hubs, and logistics centres.
