YOU’VE leafed through all the brochures, made your decision and picked your chosen colour plus specification for your staffer’s new company car.
So far so good.
But. And this is the issue for you Mr Business Car Manager, how do you relieve the pain of disposing of that old company car that’s now sitting comfortably in the car park – and taking up unnecessary space?
Well, according to our research, SMEs usually have three choices when offloading their unwanted fleet cars.
The first of these is at an auction.
One of the advantages is that you can usually achieve a fair price, plus you have the benefit of the car being stored elsewhere. In addition, the auction house deals with views through its open days.
The only downside is, that all these positives are based on the assumption that the car sells, of which there is no guarantee. Of course, if it doesn’t there will be extra costs incurred.
But generally, auctions – such as those by BCA, CD Auctions and Manheim – are a good method of getting your car sold and the money back into the business quickly.
