Vauxhall has announced pricing for the updated Astra, and has equalised pricing between the hybrid, electric vehicle (EV) and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) models.
The range starts at £29,995 for the Astra Griffin, with the 145PS hybrid, 195PS PHEV and 156PS EV powertrains.
Pricing for the Vauxhall Astra Sports Tourer is the same as that of the hatch.
Vauxhall said it will add a non-hybridised 1.2-litre petrol engine to the range later, which will likely lower the car’s starting price.
Updates to the Astra include a larger battery for the EV giving 281 miles of range, new seats, the Vauxhall Visor front end with an illuminated logo and the option of Intelli-Lux HD headlights.
For £31,495, buyers can upgrade to the GS, which adds black wheels, a black roof, sports seats, a 180-degree rear-view camera and the Pure Panel Pro infotainment system, which combines a 10-inch digital instrument cluster with the car’s 10-inch touchscreen.
The Ultimate model is priced at £33,995 and adds Intelli-Lux HD headlights, a head-up display and a power tailgate on Sports Tourer models.
Benefit-in-kind (BiK) is 4% for the Astra EV, 10% for the PHEV and 28% for the hybrid.
