What’s not?
- The launch of this engine has also seen the debut of a new Intellilink touch screen infotainment system, but it’s hard to operate and connect your phone to.
- Our test car was in new Tech Line trim that’s aimed at business drivers and includes a DAB radio, Bluetooth, sat-nav, cruise control, plus automatic headlights and wipers. Which is all good. But why no rear parking sensors that would be really useful when parking?
Verdict on the Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTi 170 Tech Line
In ‘Whisper’ diesel form, the Insignia is definitely worth serious consideration alongside new rivals in the form of the Mondeo and Passat. However, although the economy and CO2 are brilliant at 65.7mpg and 114g/km respectively, it’s our previous SME Company Car Winner, the 2.0-litre CDTI 140 Ecoflex that’s still our ultimate company car favourite.
However for £22,984, this Tech Line undoubtedly offers a lot for the 20 percent tax payer at just £69 a month – an astonishingly low amount for so much car.
