Vauxhall sees 5% yearly increase in van registrations

Overall, the Vauxhall car and van volume was up by 6% year-on-year to 15,189 in February, meaning the brand finished third in the UK new vehicle market.

Vauxhall has seen a 5% year-on-year increase in registrations in February, resulting in a market share boost from 9.5% to 10.4%.

Vauxhall also finished second in the market, according to new vehicle registration figures published by the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT).

Overall, the brand’s car and van volume was up by 6% year-on-year to 15,189 in February, meaning the brand finished third in the UK new vehicle market with a total market share of 5.7%.

In total, Vauxhall saw a rise of 7% in passenger car volume year-on-year, with a total of 11,733 registrations since the start of the year.

Electric car volume and share have also risen, with an 8% year-on-year growth in volume and share increasing to 4.6%.

Eurig Druce, managing director at Vauxhall and Stellantis UK group managing director, said: “February was another good month for Vauxhall with strong results across both car and van markets, putting us among the top three best-selling vehicle brands in the UK.

“The Corsa remains Britain’s best-selling small car in 2026.

“The new Frontera is also making waves in the market, driving sales and increasing market share as the second most-sold model in the compact electric SUV segment.

“There is more still to come from Vauxhall as we continue to expand our vehicle line-up, with the new Astra and exciting Corsa GSE on the way later this year, and build on this positive momentum.”
