Rightcharge has been named the sole recommended home charging reimbursement partner of Ready for Fleet, a fleet payments solution from Visa.
The deal is expected to ease fleet electrification, as Rightcharge found that 73% of fleet charging sessions are completed at homes.
A direct integration with each driver’s home energy tariff allows Rightcharge to calculate the cost of each home charging session, reimbursing drivers automatically through a direct-to-energy-bill payment.
Drivers are only able to charge their work vehicle using the service.
It enables Visa Ready for Fleet to provide a full EV payment service, as Visa Fleet 2.0 covers public charging.
Rightcharge was selected as it met Visa’s standards for integration, security and functionality.
Freddie Winterbotham, head of strategic partnerships at Rightcharge, said: “We’re witnessing a rapid transition across Europe as fleets move from diesel to electric.
“The technology that fleets use to pay is transitioning with it.
