Volkswagen has launched a pair of ‘Black Edition’ models of its ID.4 and ID.5 electric SUVs.
The new trim levels feature 19-inch alloy wheels finished in black, a black roof, gloss-black exterior trim and door mirrors, and sports seats.
Extra equipment offered as standard on Black Edition models includes massaging seats with power adjustable lumbar support, and a panoramic sunroof.
All black edition models have the mid-range 77kWh battery, giving a range of over 320 miles, and 286PS.
The extra equipment offered as standard on Black Edition models would add up to £4,625 on to the price of an ID.4 or ID.5, but the Black Edition models will cost as little as £1,780 more than the existing Match models.
The ID.4 and ID.5 Black Edition go on sale in the UK later this week.
The ID.4 Black Edition will start at £46,180 on-the-road, with prices rising to £47,990 for the ‘4MOTION’ all-wheel-drive model.
The ID.5 Black Edition, offered only with rear-wheel-drive, will start at £47,680 on-the-road.
