Volkswagen to open ID. Polo orders on 30th July, cheaper model to follow
When fitted with the larger 52kWh battery, both Launch Edition variants are eligible for the £1,500 Electric Car Grant.

Volkswagen has announced that it will open orders for the Launch Edition ID. Polo on 30th July, with cheaper models to go on sale in September.
Initially, the range will start with the £25,555 ID. Polo Life Launch Edition, fitted with the 37kWh battery, while models starting from £23,945 will go on sale on 10th September.
Life Launch Edition models with the 37kWh battery will be available from stock only, with no factory orders.
The £31,495 Style Launch Edition will also be available to order from 30th July, while the Life Launch Edition will be priced from £27,330 with the larger battery.
When fitted with the larger 52kWh battery and the more powerful 211PS electric motor, both Launch Edition variants are eligible for the £1,500 Electric Car Grant.
With the 52kWh battery, range is 281 miles, with the ability to charge from 10% to 80% in 24 minutes.
Standard equipment on the ID. Polo Life Launch Edition includes heated front seats, two-zone air conditioning and a heated steering wheel.
The Style Launch Edition adds the 52kWh battery, a panoramic glass roof, massaging front seats and the Area View camera.
