Volvo V60 Polestar review: return of the banzai Swedish estate?

Volvo doesn’t make many out and out performance cars – when it does they’re usually pretty good.

Volvo V60 Polestar
62mph in 5 seconds, – but no lairy look to give the game away

What is it?

Polestar has been making Volvos go faster with dealer-fit upgrades since 2009, but this is their first proper, factory-built production car.

This special Volvo will appeal to SME directors looking for a fast alternative to full-size estates, or those looking for an offbeat alternative to established rivals from Audi and BMW.

The V60 Polestar might have 345bhp, but it’s no race wagon. Instead, Volvo’s Swedish independent racing partner was tasked with making this V60 an all-year, all-weather performance car.

Available in seven markets worldwide, the UK will get just 125 of the £49,775 Volvo V60 Polestar estate, making it rare and exclusive. There will be no S60 version available here.
