Webfleet, Bridgestone’s fleet management solution, has launched an integration with RIO, a MAN sister company.
This marks the first truck and bus integration through Webfleet’s OEM.connect programme, which aims to expand its capabilities to heavy-duty vehicles and reinforce its focus on hardware-free fleet connectivity.
Through the collaboration, MAN vehicles equipped with factory-fitted telematics can now connect directly to the Webfleet platform via RIO.
The integration requires no additional hardware, installation or downtime, aiming to give fleet operators access to real-time vehicle insights to help optimise performance across their truck and bus fleets.
Jan-Maarten de Vries, president of fleet management solutions at Bridgestone, said: “This is a major milestone for Webfleet’s OEM.connect strategy.
“By integrating with RIO, we’re extending the benefits of our platform to heavy-duty vehicles, offering seamless, hardware-free connectivity that accelerates digital transformation for commercial transport.”
With this integration, operators gain access to a suite of features, including real-time tracking, ignition status monitoring, odometer readings, fuel level and consumption data, and speed information to support safer and more efficient driving.
These capabilities are integrated directly into Webfleet’s platform, designed to enable better management, enhanced driver coaching, and improved fuel economy – all without retrofitting or downtime.
The integration is intended to highlight Webfleet’s commitment to growing its OEM.connect ecosystem, which now includes more than 20 vehicle brands.
De Vires added: “This collaboration reflects our future-proof approach to connected mobility.
“OEMs are central to the next phase of fleet telematics and Webfleet is proud to be at the forefront, delivering scalable, ready-to-use solutions that empower our customers to drive performance, safety and sustainability.”
The partnership also intends to reinforce Webfleet’s focus on advancing industry-wide connectivity and data harmonisation.
As a partner of the Mobility Data Space – a European data marketplace to enable secure, sovereign data exchange across the mobility sector – Webfleet supports efforts to align data standards among OEMs.
From September 2025, European fleets can activate their MAN vehicles. With an OEM.connect process, operators add their RIO-connected MAN fleet to Webfleet.
