Wialon integrates Lytx AI-driven dash-cam tech to enhance fleet safety
The Surfsight system uses AI to identify risky driving behaviours such as smoking, eating or mobile phone use.
Wialon has expanded its fleet digitalisation platform with the integration of Lytx’s AI-powered Surfsight dash-cam solution, offering customers enhanced real-time visibility over driver behaviour and road safety risks.
The Surfsight system, already accessible via Wialon’s API, uses artificial intelligence to identify risky driving behaviours such as smoking, eating or mobile phone use.
When detected, the camera issues audio and visual alerts to help drivers self-correct before an incident occurs.
Fleets can also opt to install Lytx’s DriveCam device, providing an all-in-one video safety solution within Wialon’s platform.
Wialon said the integration will support fleets in reducing maintenance costs, insurance claims and emissions, as well as preventing unnecessary downtime.
DriveCam and Surfsight sit alongside Wialon’s wider suite of tools for fleet digitalisation, including driver behaviour monitoring, fuel management, route optimisation and real-time vehicle tracking.
Klaus Burgstaller, partner development manager at Lytx, said: “Keeping fleet operations running safely and efficiently is a challenge shared by businesses across many industries and regions.
“Through our integration with Wialon, we’re combining our expertise in safety and telematics to provide fleets with a comprehensive solution that empowers drivers and gives fleet managers visibility over the data that matters most.”
